WICT NY Holiday Party

The WICT NY Holiday party, sponsored by NBC Universal, took place at Inc Lounge in the Time Hotel located in the heart of Times Square.

The event proved to be a success with over 100 cable industry professionals in attendence, despite the freezing cold temperatures. The event was held to celebrate the holidays with members of the WICT NY Chapter community who have continued to support WICT and who have benefited from the professional programs and services WICT has to offer.

Attendees enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and cocktails while networking with their colleagues and peers. The event held a raffle as well with items donated by networks such as BBC America, Fuse, Scripps Networks, NCC, IFC, WEtv, Turner Entertainment Networks, NBC Universal, Fox Cable Networks and The Sporstman Channel.

We'd like to thank NBC Universal for their sponsorship and all the networks who generously dontated raffle items. We'd also like to thank everyone who attended the event for their continued support of the WICT NY Chapter.

Tuesday Schmooze-Day: DIGITAL

Our members made our second Tuesday Schmooze-Day a great success.  The folks in the digital world gathered at Social Lounge to listen to two digital experts, Lori Greene and Liz Kressel, as they discussed what it takes to make it in the world of digital distribution.  Don't miss our next TSD!

Tuesday Schmooze-Day

NY WICT's first inaugural Tuesday Schmooze-Day was an overwhelming success!  With almost 100 media professionals in attendence (mostly from Marketing, PR & Creative Services), we all got our Schmooze on! 

Keep a lookout for the next Tuesday Schmooze-Day in mid-July where we focus on the Digital space, followed by one in September for those in Sales (Affiliate Sales, Ad Sales, etc).

Executive Leadership Breakfast with Shannon Cassidy

The Executive Leadership Breakfast Series continued with Shannon Cassidy, Executive Director of bridge between, inc.  Shannon started the morning off right for the 35 attendees by teaching them that we only have complete control over ourselves.  We control our thoughts, our moods and our actions.  She recommended using her "Power in the Shower" technique to make us what we want to be, by telling ourselves that we already are (if you want to be more patient, tell yourself, "I AM patient.").  Learn more about Shannon and bridge between at http://www.bridgebetween.org/.

2009 Membership Mixer at Saks Fifth Avenue

Over 150 ladies enjoyed a fabulous evening at Saks Fifth Avenue for NY WICT's annual Membership Mixer.  We provided the cocktails, hors 'doeuvres, gift bags, makeup touch-ups, personal shoppers and discounts and you supplied the conversation.  If you didn't join or renew your WICT membership that night, and haven't done it yet, don't forget!  2008 memberships expired on March 31st.  Join now!!
